Louisville Cardinals

First, I want to wish everyone a Happy Easter. What an amazing game, from both the men and the women, of University of Louisville basketball teams; as they both advanced to the next round of the “March Madness” tournament. The men defeated the Duke Blue devils 85-63; top performer was Gorgui Dieng, he finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks. One of the greatest and horrific moments, in this game happened in the first half; where Kevin Ware was defending Tyler Thornton, and Ware tried to block his shot; but he landed terribly wrong on his right leg. Ware's leg snapped in his ankle and knee; players from both teams were in tears and shocked, when they saw how bad this injury was. It was amazing, to see how the Cardinals came together, and brought a win home to Kevin Ware. Just like me, everyone thought who can stop 6'8 center Brittney Griner of Baylor? Well the lady Cardinals did; shooting 16-25 in 3 point shots, they advanced to the next round by defeating, Baylor 82-81. Top performer, was Shoni Schimmel she finished with 22 points, 1 rebound, and 3 steals. Senior, Brittney Grinner finished her career; playing 40 minutes, scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Grinner is the 2nd highest scoring player in NCAA history; and she also holds the career records for the most blocks and dunks.

Jesus Shuttlesworth

It's been reported, that Miami Heat teammates call shooting guard, Ray Allen "Jesus." For those of you that don't remember, Allen played a leading role in a movie; directed by Spike Lee in 1998 called, “He Got Game.” Apparently, when Allen has hot hands, his teammates call him "Jesus." Allen has played 17 years in the league, and is the NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers. Allen was drafted in 1996, 5th overall to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

What Does It Really Take 2 Be An All Star?

With Golden State Warriors guard, Stephen Curry playing for 48 minutes and scoring a career high of 54 points, unfortunately it wasn't enough, as they were defeated by the New York Knicks, 109-105. Curry finished with 54 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals; shooting 11 for 13 in 3 pointers. With Curry shooting 18 for 28 on the field; from last night's game, this makes him the highest scoring player, in this season so far. Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant is 2nd, scoring 52 points in a game this season. Curry was drafted in 2009, 7th overall to the Warriors; and is the son of former NBA player Dell Curry.
